    120g Display - 55g Sump - 20g Frag Tank

    2. Net water volume (incl. sump etc.)
    120g Display - 55g Sump - 20g Frag Tank

    3. Are you using a CaCO2 reactor or other technique
Yes - Geo 610 Calcium Reactor

    4. Are you using a PO4 reactor (how long, how long ago, etc.)
Yes - Mix of carbon and Phosban in a phosban reactor.

    5. Are you using Ozone
    No

    6. Are you using UV
    No
    7. What skimmer are you using (type, rated water volume)
    ASM G3

    8. What are your actual PO4 and NO3 level
    Undetectable - Salifert

    9. What are your actual Ca, Alk and Mg levels
    Cal - 390 - Alk 9.5dkh -1300

    10. What filtration method do you use (refugium, DSB, Miracle Mud, etc.)
    None - BB

Hi Jim, & congrats on beginning the ZEOvit method. With the method, one does not use any P04removers & we aim for the KH to be in the range of 6.5-8. Ca should be >400 & with a KH of 8, I find the Ca level of 420-440 to work fine with ZEOvit. I estimate your net vol. at 175g & would recommend the following:
1)dose 1/2ltr carbon, passively in your sump, kneaded every other day, & exchanged every 4wks.
2)dose 1 1/2ltrs. of zeolites. in your zeo-filter at a flow rate of 175gph. Be a accurate to this mark as possible. Handle pump the stones once or twice a day about 10 reps each time, moving the plunger up & down about 1-2" each time. Cycle your stones "on" & "off" at 3hrs intervals for the first few months[3-5] as this allows for a more even nutrient reduction. The zeolites are exchanged at 4 wks for the first time-period, thereafter, the time-period is extended to 6wks. intervals.
3)dose 4 drops Bak/Food daily for 2wk. then 4 drops each 2x's/wk. Dose these in front of your filter intake pump, with the skimmer turned off for 60min. On the next cycle[zeolites exchange] bak/food are dosed every OTHER day for the first 2 wks. then 2x's/wk.
4)dose .5ml Start2 2x's/day, every day. It is not necessary to turn off your skimmer when just dosing Start2. Ask any questions here if needed, thnx. Bob

      Bob,

Thanks for the info and the warm welcome. It was a pleasure meeting the gang at IMAC today and hope to gain the knowledge to help others in the future.

I will eliminate the PO4 remover before I begin. Is it necessary for me to change the alk & Ca prior to staring or can I do this over a period of time?

Jim, you should experience no problems with your parameters as you take adjusting action. Bob

          Bob.....

I just installed the reactor and did my first doses . I hope all goes well

You mentioned for me to get as close to 175gph as possible but I am unsure how to achieve that. The pump that came with my madison reactor is a QuietOne 1200 which is 296gph. Any suggestions?

Nevermind I see that the pump has an adjustable flow rate! Sorry!
