Fellow Zeoheads: How far are you keeping your lights above the water?

I am just curious.

Here is my lighting: 1x250 watt 10k Ushio Bulb

2x96 watt 10k VHO bulbs

2x96 watt Actinic VHO bulbs

Total wattage=634 watts above a 40 gallon tank

My lights are 7 inchs above my tank, so what height are you running yours at?

My tank temp gets up to 82 degrees.

About 7". I get a tiny bit of spray on the bulbs, but not much. Not enough to cause any cracking or shattering - at least not yet.

I have my DE pendant about 7 inches up as well

I recently had mine about 9 inchs above the water and just wasn't sure how much light I was losing from that height, that is why I lowered it to 7 inchs. Anyone have any idea how much light is lost relative to how far your lights are away from the waterline?
Also keep posting how far away your lights are.
