Finally, my Valida is coloring up
After having my Valida colony given to me from a friend about 4 months ago it is starting to color up. 4 tips have turned purple and one branch arm is starting to turn purple. Only around 5-10 percent of the colony is coloring up right now but hopefully this will continue to the whole colony. I noticed it starting to color up once I got my dosing pump about 1 month ago and I got my alkalinity up and stable. Before I was dosing Alkalinity daily and the levels fluctuated all the time. When this was happening the Valida never showed any coloring up. Things have really started growing with the addition of the dosing pump.
