  • 3 on 3 off questions

Hi, right now I am just learning about zeovit but mabe in the furure I will try it. But for now I am just learning. One question, when you say 3 on 3 off, do you have to do that with the reactor 24/7?

And is it manual, or is there a timer that runs the reactor pump 3 hours on, 3 hours off, 3 hours on...etc. Thanks

it means the reactor is on for 3 hours then shuts off for 3 hours then goes on for 3 and so on for 24/7 it does this to reduce the PO4, like on reef central research.

also you get a timmer and hook the feed pump up to the reactor, like a quiet one 1200.

i thought you werent settin up the 130 yet?

Adam, you would just get one of those plug timers (at your local hardware store) and set it to turn the feed pump to the reactor on and off for a period of 3 hours each. The only thing to pay attention to is to make sure that the media stays submerged during the time when the pump is off.

130 is already set up with lights, skimmer, sand, heater, etc... and a little LR, and all the LPS/Polyps/Softies i took out of my 75 when i went BB, and along with a blenny. all doing good.

nbd13, don't even bother replying to his threads.

Sooner or later he'll get the message just like on RC.
