Thick slime coming off SPS

Last night I was up pretty late so decided to do a flashlight inspection of the tank, and Yikes! A couple of the SPS had big dobs of slime coming off them, looked like tissue dissolving.
I thought for sure there must be some strange infection or something at work in the tank.
So just had a look thismorning expecting the worst, and everything completely back to normal.
Anybody any ideas what that could have been?

i dont know...there was some weird slime coming off of my acro this morning....acro is fine though slime is clearish white stuff that is blowing away in the current. This is only on one of my acro's and the tissue is fine and it has PE, it is just that there is a small amount of slime on it. I have never seen slime on this particular acro before....

Proud owner of an Elegance Coral "that lived". (It is thriving whith long tentacle tips...purchased in January 2005.) It has white tentacle tips, I beleive this has something to do with ones that will typically live due to the collection site.
