  • Peice of crap.....

Well my stupid blueface started picking some my sps.

although its weird he only does it when i am by the tank.

i was watching him right by the tank and he would pick at soem algae that stupid grape caulpera and then woudl pick at a couple of sps like 3 or 4 of them.

but its weird the sps do not show signs of it, the polyp extension is still good?

i saw him eating some nori from a clip along with my foxface so hopefully he will stop picking.

i know it took John B. awhile to get his majestic to stop picking.

i may try feed 3 times a day we will see.

right now i am feeding 2 times once at noon and then at around 7.

so i dont know i hope it stops soon.

on a good note by foxface is eating that grape caulpera.

anyway i wanted to share my frustration, espically when Sedar at Phishy business said the angel was NOT picking at his SPS.

    so we will see.

anyway i wanted to vent i guess......

Be patient Nick, it may or may not stop, but if you hadn't tried, you would have never known....

They are gorgeous fish, and somtimes the pain is worth the risk...........

While I am sure you are upset that the Angel is picking at some of your corals, I know I would be too. But, it is their nature. You can not be upset with the fish NOR Sedar. I am not taking sides or anything just my .02 Just b/c the fish was not doing it that he seen does not mean he was 100% sure. It may take some time.

I bought a Queen Angel too and took a risk.. my jaw dropped as I was watching him eat at all my corals. The colors of the Angel glowed.. but my first priority then was raising my corals. In about 2 hrs, he was sent back to the LFS.

mine is not that bad, just a pick there then a pick there. its not like he is doing it 24/7 he maybe takes a bite there and then an half hour later a bit there.

its like he is sampling the corals, its weird.

anyway i hope it will stop.

man i dont know about that conspic now......

i always here they are good, but man that kind of money on a fish to have it nip is a bit of a risk.
