Dosing Advice Needed. Aged Salt? :P

on 20th may, start full dosage on my 800litres newly set-up tank with a couple of SPS colonies from before.

ZeoBak: 24 drops daily
ZeoFood : 24 drops daily
ZeoStart : 8 ml daily

on 29th may, i've stopped dosage as i've suffered from brown film / algae

during a period of 10 days, the algae started to die.

i'm restarting my dosage now and unsure what dosage i shd follow.

please advice. i would reckon it to be 4 drops/4 drops/4 ml as discussed with fren.

If you can tell us more about your tank params we can give you better dosing instructions.

I definately think you wee dosing too much before. You could get by with 8 drops bac and food and 4ml of zeostart. Are you using zeostart1 or zeostart2?

Currently Start1. abt 1/3 left and I'll get Start2

Hi, & thnx. for the clarifications. Go ahead & use Start1 for now. Plz. raise your KH slightly to closer to 7 or 7.5 & Ca ~430, Mg to 1300. Use 2ltrs. zeolites in a filter with a flow rate of 800l/h. A little more or less is fine. Dose 1/2ltr carbon, passively in a filter sock in your sump. Knead this 3x's/wk to prevent channeling of the media. I recommend the following :
1) dose Bak 4 drops 2x's/wk[you have already overseeded the zeo's given your above dosing regimen]
2) dose 4 drops Food 2x's/wk
3) dose .5ml ZeoStart1 2-3x's/day daily. Turn off your skimmer for 60min after dosing bak/food7. It is not necessary to do this when just dosing Start. Bob

just realised that my KH is at 5.3, CA at 360 and MG at 1350. tuning CR now.

perhaps the consumption of CA / KH has started to increase with stability of water parameters....
