I have a Geo Ca reactor and am very happy with it.

I also have, and recommend, the M3 Regulator w/solenoid.

You'll also need a good check valve.

I would recommend buying your own new CO2 tank, rather than renting/swapping. It costs me under $12 to fill my 5 lb. tank at a fire safety supply company.
The only other things you'll need are a feed pump (MJ 1200 or Eheim Compact 1000), and media. A.R.M. is very popular. I am using the Schuran coarse media, and it works well for me.

Do any of you have experience with the KNOP Calcium reactors? I was looking at these before I posted my question. I like how clean they look in their design but I don't know about their performance. If you need to see what I am talking about they are at Marine Depots website. You're Norma Desmond you used to be big.
I am big it's the pictures that got small.

Hi Brad, in the mid-90"s, I used the Knop, but needed to run it hard to keep up with the 125g-SPS reef I had at that time. The original model[smaller unit] services nothing greater than a 75g well, to operate within the ZEOvit recommended parameter guidelines.Bob

So I looked at the MRC calcium reactor and am interested in it. I am a rookie to calcium reactors and need to know what the difference between a single chamber and double chamber calcium reactor is? Is it just that the double chamber can handle a higher calcium load? If so I believe a 125 gallon is fine with a single chamber.
Also can anyone recommend a good Co2 regulator for an MRC calcium reactor? I am a rookie on Co2 regulators as well and really know nothing about them.
Also what else will I need? You're Norma Desmond you used to be big.

I say look at the jet stream 1, they are the best out there right now.
no CO2 will leak back into your system.
its the only way to go, i have a deltec pf500 right now for my 180 but when i upgrade to my 300 at the end of this summer i am going jet stream 1 all the way.

Im waiting on the Aqua Medic 1000w titanium heater with a controller.I have been using the WON digital titanium heater and I have had the melt down that everyone else has experienced. Its pretty scary when your cheapest item can kill everything in your tank in a couple of hrs if it malfunctioned.
