  • Does anyone have any before and after shots of zeospur 2

I am looking for people who use zeospur2 to post before and after shots of their tanks. I want to see how much this supplement really does affect corals. I have seen one green monti so far with a before and after shot using zeospur2 and the change was very dramatic, but I want to see all the pics I can. I am only on week 7 so far so I can't use it just yet. Thank you.

Invincible, that second coral has some really noticable growth from the first. How long did it take for that growth to happen when using zeospur2?

Thought I'd post some pics in here since I doesd ZEOspur2 for the first time last night, and also to bump the thread to see if we can't get some more ppl to post their spur2 experiences.

I dosed last night and today the tank looks completely different.. Some SPS are unaffected and others show some drastic change in color. A newly received yellow millipora frag turned from a very pale cream to dark brown color, it also looks much happier and has the most polyp extension today than I've seen yet on this frag. The pink millipora I have seems unchanged. The a.yongi and an orange/green m.digi, plus an a.aspera look like they have had the life sucked out of them the same with a green/PE cap. they look very pale and have very dark tips. the a.valida looks for the most part unchanged, maybe a little bluer on the tips. a brown shaggy frag I picked up a few weeks ago at an LFS has turned a nice teal color, even the polyp color seemed to lighten on that guy. the a.microphthalma has developed very dark brown tips. stylo and poccillopora don't seem to care for the stuff, they are unchanged.

Everyone in the tank looks extremely happy, and it seems to have primarily effected greens and oranges, with little change in blues or pinks.

                on to the pics.. before:

                after:

                a.yongi (before):

                a.yongi (after):

                a.microphthalma (after):

anyway, I'll try and get some more pics in the next couple of days and track the progress.

Special thanks to Madison for hooking me up with a ZEOspur2 sample..

                Rich

the monti and yongie dont look so well in the after pics IMO...they do indeed look like the life was sucked out of them. Hrmmm...
Proud owner of an Elegance Coral "that lived". (It is thriving whith long tentacle tips...purchased in January 2005.) It has white tentacle tips, I beleive this has something to do with ones that will typically live due to the collection site.

IMO it does not look like the life is sucked out of them. The colors just lookk more pastel---Great shots Rich

How much did you dose and what is the net volume of your tank?

Very interesting, your corals turned much paler than I would have expected them to turn. Not saying this is good or bad just that I was under the impression zeospur2 made things stand out and become brighter, not become paler. Still though your corals do look very nice. Keep us updated on your growth as well,as zeospur2 is supposed to really promote growth quickly. :yesway:

net volume is 30gal and I dosed 1.1ml

I've been on the HCAA for a couple of weeks and that has really helped things start to take off. hopefully this will kick some of the straglers into action :molepoke:

Hi Rich, well you certainly have had a response ZeoSpur2 is a excellent product when dosed correctly. Determining dosage of Spur2 for each system is difficult. It will push away the zoox. allowing coral tissue color to show, coral to lighten, becoming more luminescent It's effects on our corals last about 48hrs, so you may experience more color change today. It really increases SPS growth, as corals get rid of the old zoox & bring in the new So, after 48hrs, replacement zoox. are produced gradually over the next wk or so, albeit, coming in a lighter color than their old predacestors. As you've noted, it does not effect on all corals equally, as stylo's, pocci's & seriat's are not affected, while Acro's, Monti's & Anacro's do respond. Also, it's interesting to me, that Spur2 does not affect corals from the So. Pacific as much as the corals from Indonesia. Possibly due to the darker coloration of these corals. Rich, I'd be interested with how the corals appear today, thnx. Bob
