  • Top Off water/ bad for Zeovit?

After 3 weeks of using Zeovit, I finally realized that when I add topoff water, I add it directly to my sump which houses the Zeovit ( I do not have a reactor yet ). In fact, I pretty much pour my RO/DI water right on the zeolytes. My question is: am I destroying the bacterial colonies on my zeo rocks on a daily basis? My thinking is that I am. Also, when adding Bak, Food, and Start, I add it to the tank, does anyone add it near the Zeolytes? Thanks for opinions and help.

    Regards,
    Dr. Joe

I would add your food bak start near your zeolytes and add your top off water else where.

i would invest in a top off machine they replenish as it evaporates allowing the salinity to stay as stable as possible
