  • Cyclopeez for fish AND Acro's???

Hi, I just bought some cyclopeez (wanted to try it out) and I de thawed a chunk in a container with freshwater and poured it into the 75g. sps/acro BB aquarium, and sheesh. Not only did the fish greedily eat it, so did 75% of the Acro's. I mean, they do eat the stuff. They really do. I saw the acro's grab the cyclopeez, and bring it in inside of them. They DO eat it. If they dont, then why did so many acro's grab it and bring it in? Some of my polpys and LPS corals in the tank grabbed and brung it in too.

So the question is how many of you use it for feeding fish/coral and have you noticed any positive effects of the corals after using it? (Increased polpy extension, color, growth, etc.)

    Thanks

I have been useing the dry form, the fish love it but I have not payed attention to what the corals are doing with it, guess I'll have to watch and see!

It's basically the only food that goes into my tank besides a little extra snack for my fish every now and then. The fish get the bigger particles and the dust is for the corals.

An added advantage is that it stays in suspension really well so it is less likely to fall on the substrate and rot away.

I used to soak the dried cyclopeeze in a glass of tank water for a while then feed it to the tank, the acros do really take it in but i stopped thinking the feeding might "brown out" my acros more, does anyone else feed it as i still have the tub and may start feeding again if i hear positive answers.

          Cheers

Yeah I used to feed my tank almost every addittive I could find b4 zeo, I have recently decided to go for it and feed my tank it has been about 5 6 mo or so. Last night I got some live oysters and blended them and added a small amount to the tank with the return pump off for about 2 hrs. I did notice some were enjoying it. Well see how it goes nutrient wise.
