  • John B's Tank before remodel....

Well today i had the pleasure to see John B's tank, i took some pictures before he did his remodel.

it was a great time and i picked up so GREAT corals!

He changed his tank around to give his faviortes some room to grow out, i was fortunite enough to get the corals he did not want, some are HUGE!

John was having some problems with coral growing into eachother, so he wanted to make some room, i got about 5 or 6 HUGE colonies and then some frags. anyhow it was a great time enough of my talking here are the pics!

also for those of you looking for the BK pics, check out the thread John made for his skimmer in the skimmer forum.

if you have any questions post them, because i am sure John will chime in here.

thanks once again John for the great time and GREAT corals! plus tell Tony to take some pics after you do your re-arraging.

just to give you an idea whats out now, the green slimer on the left, the LJ purple tip, the digi in the middle, millie in the upper right, millie to the left of the tort on the left side, the tips of the stags on the right, purple digi behind the tort, the millie in the center got a trim, and the tricolor in the top right.

he has some room now for his lokani and his tort to grow out. it should turn out great after he moves some things around.

John, good luck with the re-model. The barracuda obviously outgrew the old tank...

John, i am VERY happy, i just got all the stuff in place, i will take some pics once stuff settles in. I was surprised that the polyps were out right when i placed them into the tank.

i just got done about 2 hours ago putting everything in the spot i wanted.

my tank is filling up fast, i have to be picky as to which corals i get now.

that LJ purple tip is HUGE BTW! that thing took up some space haha!

                    those stags are beautiful!

thanks again John i could not be happier!

HOLY MOLY!!! That is some sick growth!!! Your tank looks 20 times better than it did when it became TOTM. Im totally stunned! You have done it again! I remember when you could see those caps.. now they are covered by all the phenomenal growth above it!

What kind of camera did you use Nick? You took some sweet pictures! Did you do any closeups?

No, he did not want any, its not my camera its my Dad's. he has all these lense too, i just pushed the button, haha. i am not that good at taking pics, so i justed pointed and shot then posted them, haha.

its a Nikon D100 i beilve i think you are getting one, they are nice cameras worth the money, we have a macro lense and a telephoto lense along with a regular lense. its a nice camera, those pics show it. Like i said its point and shoot.

i wish i would have taken time to get some close ups, but i was too busy baggin colonies! as you can tell i was alittle excited to get these awesome show peices.

i will take some pics in the next couple of days of the corals i got, plus the 2 colonies i am getting from RM.

again John has a great setup, i cant wait to see it after he moves stuff around and lets his tort and lokani grow out!

its funny how his caps got covered like you said edward. i remeber last summer when i picked up his old sump how his tank looked. and to think i thought it was grown in then! haha, compared to what it look like this morning the growth is ridiculos! i can see why he says growth is over rated! i dread the day that i would have to do this to my 180!

haha yeah you did John, i am dead tired after putting all those corals in their final spot! i used all i mean all 5 tubes of expoxy and 6 things of super glue!

it was a big effort, but my tanks looks alot better after all those corals, i will take some pics in the next few days so you can see where your corals are.

                            thanks again!

John is a great guy. Very generous person. His tank is more than likely the best tank on this forum. I would like to see a better one but i dont think one is on here. Kevin
