i think one of them did this!! :bootyshak

i may be way off the mark here , but is it correct that these crabs take some sort of nutrition from the corals like slime or whatever? does that mean that the babies would live in the coral also?

I thought they were bad news, I killed all mine. Did I do the wrong thing?
Also, there are several different types, are some good, some bad?

brown hairy ones are the bad one, white with smooth shell is good one. Hairy crabs usually lead to tissue loss IME

Thanks Sean. Yes, I've had just one of those little brown hairy ones, and he was definately doing damage. Then I had some of those brightly colored ones that make little tunnels in the base of the branches, and they seemed to be doing damage so killed them.
Then lately I've had some of those white type ones, with a straight black line across the front of the face, so by this time I'd gone off all crabs so killed them also. But now it appears these are harmless. If true, I'll keep any more I get.

just remember if the crab is green with blue eyes, its best to re-locate to a non sps tank.

Very similar to women....there it's the blondes with blue eyes, you have to move them into a big mansion.
Fish eat poop....tastes just like chicken.
