  • look at new dosing

Ok I still am having troubles with my dosing. My birds nest looks like crap and my other corals teeter back and forth from good to bad. One week I will have really great color and then the next not so good. So this is what I am thinking of dosing.

    I have 20 to 25 gallons.

1 drop bak 1 drop food twice a week.

    1 drop start 3 times a day

    1 cup rocks

    1/4 cup carbon

Let me know if this sounds good to people.

Hi Tim, I've had the color serendipties . In my situation, it stemed from high TDS product water & initially, in the 1st few months on ZEOvit, it was from undetectable "stored" nutrients within the 1yr. old system. Most sustainable changes in a reef setting takes longer than we wish That is a fact. Also, it is not possible to keep your colors 110% all the time. In a smaller system, parameter stability is more difficult but necessary, so focus your efforts on this.Tweak your ca/buffer/salinity/temperature swings. In your case, the proposed zeo-dosing appears excellent. Stay the course & you'll have the colors Bob

Tim---when you say looks like crap are you refering to the color? or tissue. Make sure that your water params are stable as a rock. This will dictacte good coloration Zeo or not

I mean color mostly. My params are on. I don't have a po4 test so not sure what that is. But all I can do to get rid of that is what I am doing now. Here is a picture of the birds nest. It used to be pink and now it just looks sickish red. Also the purple tort in front used to be more brown than what it is so it is starting to color up.
