Hi, I was at a semi-local LFS and they had 2 or 3 acropora colonies that where the growth tip was...the white extended 1-2 to 3-4 down the branch...pure white. I DO NOT however thin that it had bleached tips, because, the polpys on the main branches(brown) were extended great and this tank the coral was in was more like a pond, I am thinking over 1000 gallons. It was filled with big acro and established acro colonies, they were all super healthy and growing, infact, 6wks ago I bought a blue tipped stag frag from the tank...encrusting fast. Anyhow, isnt there a certain species that has extended white on the growing tips??? Could the extended white hint that the coral species is a very quick grower? thanks
