Hi all. I have only dosed spur2 one time and am ready for another dose. I am questioning the dosage amount. Last time I used 1ml for my 60g net volume. A few corals lightened up a bit but not all. Should I go ahead and use the same amount or step it up a notch?

I would go 1.25 or 1.5ml... My doses went 5,6,6.5,6.. I like the colors I am getting with 6ml for 200 net.. Maybe when I use start2 I will be able to up it a bit.. Start 1 lightens the corals some and from what I hear start2 does not. After 6.5 dose some corals seem REALLY pastel and to light. That is the reason I went back to 6 ml.. Maybe Bob can chim in also...

Jeff are you talking Start here or Spur? I am talking about spur2.

spur2.. I was refering to start1 because it has a tendency to make corals lighter, then on top of it the spur2 really lightened a few up with the 6.5ml dose.. I went back to 6ml on my 200 gallon net system... 1.5ml or so should be good for you or maybe a tad more 1.75ml... I would do 1.5 first though then adjust in 2 weeks......

Hi Dustin, the dosing endpoint in titration is to achieve lightening of one's corals for 7-10 days after dosing Spur2. If the corals darkened somewhat before the 10th day, then one can increase the Spur2 dose in 2wks. As you noticed not all corals will lighten with Spur2 & this is normal.
Jeff brings up a good point that once everyone is on Start2, the Spur2 dose may need titrating from one's previous maximum, as Start2 tends to develop deeper color tones than Start1Bob

OK. Great. I am expecting Start2 next week some time, and I will dose again Spur2 tonight at 1.1ml. It took about 5 days for the corals to darken back up with my 1ml dosage. Once Start2 is in hand and time for another Spur2 dose I will adjust accordingly. Thanks
