Mucus after start2 dosage (Alex please help)

I have a colony of Acropora secale secreting mucus from the tips a few minutes after start2 dosing. Dosing is 0.5 ml each time in 500l/130g net.
The mucus stops after an hour or two and then reappears as soon as I dose start2 again. No problem with other colonies!

Any ideas?

Hi Alessandro, not sure I never observed this. Could you try to split the dosage to 0,2 ml in the morning and 0,2 ml in the evening ?

I will take a picture this evening. The dosage is already the result of splitting 1.5 ml in 3 times . I'll try to reduce it anyway (still waiting for my dosing pump...)

Hi Alessandro, also consider reducing Food7 & AAHC[aminoacids] by 1/3 quantity, if you are dosing these. Bob

Alessandro, I think 0,5 ml 3 x is the maximum. I would reduce the quantity to 0,2 ml 3 x daily and if you get your dosing pump around 4 x 0,1 ml.

I expect over the time with the 0,5 ml 3 x dosage the corals will get darker, also causing slime at the sand and the rocks, similar to the slime I showed you in Viareggio.

The slime as Bob told, is also caused by ZeoFood7 & amino acids, so it is necessary to reduce them both as recommended. I do not expect this has something to do with the coral, but can also cause the slime.

I have not had this problem with start2. Maybe its a sign of overdose as Alexander stated. Ive also been dosing the exact amount as start1 all at once.

First, thank you all for your help.

There must be something misleading in Bob's schedule, I thought 1.5ml/day in 130g/500l was an average dose, I read this:
Manual dosing per 100g:
Phase 1--2.0ml 2x's/day
Phase 2--1.3ml 2x's/day
Phase 3--0.2ml 2x's/day
... and I'm supposed to be in phase 2 (11th week). Have a doubt: when you write 1.3 ml 2x's/day you mean a total of 2.6ml/day, right ?

Anyway I will cut the doses , I will also reduce AAHC and food7 although I see no adverse direct reaction to these components.

Thanks Alessandro, as long as you do not notice slime or darker tissue you can keep the ZeoStart2 dosage but I would bring it down a little bit just to see what happens with your coral.
