ok i just checked my Alk w/ my salifert test kit it was7.0 then i tried a brand new salifert test kit n it was 4.8 what do i believe do i add enough B-ionic fpr 4.8 to 8.0 ??????????????

how many times did you test? If it is that low, dont raise it all the way to eight in one dose, your corals will probably suffer

Nick, go back & do them again. If they both read low, I'd bring the higher one up to 8 & observe. Unforunately, we're at the mercy of our test kits & sometimes the diluent conc. can vary from batch to batch. Does the new dilulent appear darker than the old? Bob
