  • Zeovit in tight spots?

I've been doing some reading about this Zeovit and am interested in getting started eventually. Unfortunatly, I don't have much space to spare and will have space on the outside of the tank and about 4" wide of free space in my stand. Does anyone know if Madison's DIY reactor will fit in these tight spots?
    Thanks

    Greetings All !

Ooohhh ... I get to be the first one to say it ... ...

    Welcome to ZeoVille !

Madison has been working on an external version of his ZeoReactor ... it's way cool. However, the 4" space in the stand might be problematic.

    HTH.

I believe Madison's standard reactor footprint is about 5" x 5". You may want to talk to Madison, he could probably build you a reactor to fit.
...and let me be second to WELCOME YOU since Gary beat me to it.

          Thanks for the welcomes.
Jonah310-I made the thread just to hear people's opinions on Weiss products. I never intended for it to become a debate. LOL

Also, I will double check how much space I will have left after placing a MRC-3 Calcium Reactor which is 12x12 on it's footprint.

UPDATE-I just measured my left over space and I have two choices:
5" left in return pump area
            OR
Wierd custom reactor that will look like a capital "L" It would basicly go on 2 sides of my calcium reactor.

            What way seems best?

            Thanks,
            Vinny

Hi Vinny, ask Madison[OUinLA] to fashion a skinny, taller zeo-filter to your fit Bob

For in-sump Zeovit, I have 4 inches of space before the sump rim touches the stand, but would prefer 3". Would that make a 6" diameter?

Out of sump Zeovit-I have the 5x5 inch foorprint space outside my stand next to it. The pump would have to be in the return section which is 41-43 inches away and the reactor's result water' tubing or pipe would have to be 23 inches long.

                    Which way would work best?

Hi Vinny, whichever set-up allows you the room to pump the zeo-filter handle up & down freely. I'd ask Madison for his opinion here Bob
