I've got some Start 2 coming in a couple of days. Has anyone used this yet?
Shoul I still dose the same? Bob?

Hi Bob,
Has it made it past customs yet. I haven't heard yet from my dealer if the start2 is avail. I can't seem to use the start1. Every time I try to dose it I have corals to lose tissue. So I haven't dosed the start since I talked to you last. When I stopped the start, my corals all recovered.

Bob.. can you explain again the dosing on start2. I actually dont like the idea of adding 2 times a day. I dont have that much time.

Edward, you don't have to add it two times a day. it works like Start1 does but without the worries. if you dose start1 once a day, the dose start2 once a day. FWIW, Bob and Alexander both recommend dosing start1 2-3 times a day.

Yes, it's passed customs and dealers will have it next week.

Thanks, Bob. I did hear from my Zeo dealer (What a great guy he is). He hopes to be sending me the start2 sizes and prices soon as he gets the information. How much do I need to dose? My tank is 200 gals. You have me at 3 drops of bac,bakfood, and 2 litres of zeolite. Keep trying to post that new thread.

Just to clarify.. I can add double/triple the amount of start in one day? So if i use 5ml.. I can do 15 in one day.. lets say on the weekend.

ok I just read Bob's post which had my answer:

"Start2 can be dosed once/day or best, by splitting the total dosage into multi-doses, especially with a dosing meter. Bob"

Edward, I have found that I do use more Start2 than Start1. This quantity is about 2x's the amount compared to Start1, but this will vary from tank to tank. The endpoint signs of Start2 excess will be brown/green diatoms on our panes, bb, or slime accumulation on the LR's. Tissue-tip thinning or recession will not be a concern. In extreme OD, darkening[browning] of the corals will occur, as with any excerss of elements. Bob
