  • What would cause........

    my acro colony to be losing its skin ???? i havent dosed any zeo stuff for about 5 days now moved to a lower flow i dont get it

        how long has it been in there? Also check rh base for flatworms

                Nick, if you could acess a pix. that might help. If the condition has progressed w/o zeo-dosing, obviously, it's not zeo-related, & therefore, as Sean mentioned, a too harsh flow or photoburn, assuming your parameters have been stable. Bob

                  yes to stable and like i said its been there for 4 months was brown does a brown coral have more resistance to high light then regular colored corals ????? same as flow

                    Hi Nick, that's a good question Brown corals do seem to be more resistant to light exposure but I've had some with tip loss in the past from too much direct flow. Bob

                      so maybe then sense the colony has been gettin its real color back that the light now is too strong and flow also ??? could it be ???

                        Nick, did you increase the flow during this time? It's difficult to pinpoint exactly the problem here, but from what I understand, if the coral continued to lose tissue in spite of not dosing any ZEOvit, then, non-zeo causes are at play. Best to place it down lower in your reef, until it recovers. Bob

                          will do no i havent same flow since i got it its a thick branching sps so i know they normally are in higher flows
