  • Tank has Stablized.

I'm back in business, at least it appears.

Had my heater(Ebo) get stuck and fry my tank (96+), lost all my corals but 4 frags. I've done massive water changes and even some other secrets. The water has cleared, and the 4 remaining frags have pretty good polyp extension.

I need the ZEOheads advice though.

Should I sell my current LR (80lbs of cured and cooked fiji) and my VHOs(4x110, 2 ballasts) and buy a 250w MH DE unit and a 24'' cube I've wanted and start a new. I can get a really good deal on rock from a friend at a later point, but right now I'm just thinking of getting the setup up and going. At this time I'll start the tank with ZEO.

Any advise or guidance would be appreciated.

Sean, I might invest in a controller after the heater problem.. I run the medusa dual stage and no longer worry about over or under heating.. The reefkeeper looks promising for a cheaper price also... If you rock is already cooked I would see no reason on getting new rock... I do think the 250 DE would be nice. How deep is your tank?

Jeff, I need the money to build the tank.

The tank I want to put the 250 DE over will be 24'' deep, or possible 20''.

                Well great!

I'd love to get a new setup up and running but fiancial issues may hinder it unless I can sell my current rock and lights etc..

                We'll see.

I dosed 2 drops of vodka last night to help clear up my water of the bacteria bloom and wow, it was like people said, 30 minutes later my water was crystal clear.

My tank looks better when I dose vodka, but I prefer tequila.

Mike, when you dose tequila, do you prefer to dose it by yourself, or for yourself Bob

I find that after the lime, the PE goes bad and my fish swim into the side of the tank. :p
