    Hi,
who uses marine plankton (phyto and/or zooplankton) as food for his corals?

In this case, which technique use give this plankton to the corals?

    Thanks...

Hi Porites, with ZEOvit, it is important to aim for low nutrient import, therefore, I would discourage the addition of feeding your corals directly. Our corals seem to thrive with the mulm given off with the zeolites "pumping", which one could do 2-3x's/day if you are so inclinded to provide more food for the corals. Bob

      Hi,
Yes it's sure but...I spoke about living zooplankton and as you know it, in this case it there does not have no risk of pollution if this one is to give in a correct way.
And an important nutritional contribution for corals in the reef comes from the zooplankton capture.

Mmy wish is to approach me a natural system :
      - Low nutrient water (ie : zeolith)
      - Maximum Photosynthesis (ie : important artificial ligthing level)
      - Nutritional contribution by predation (ie : addition of zooplankton)

The problem of pollution is different with phytoplankton's breeding.

I dont know if my reef conception is indicated with use of zeovit...

Porites, I see now, --live zooplankton would be beneficial, & see no problem[if not in excess] with ZEOvit Bob

          Thanks Aged Salt...
Now it is necessary to find the best way of bringing this live zooplankton without overdose in the tank (hummm not easy ).

PS : sorry for my bad english :druggie:

I used to breed plankton in 2liter soda bottles, 2 at a time.

Talk to Znut Reefer(Fonda) she keeps 3 or 4 bottles going at a time.
