Humm for A.squamipinnis, if you are pseudo-males (ie beginning of differentiation) it's unfortunately finished.

For create an anthias population in tank with success, you must choose juvenils fishes or females. In others cases, the sexuation is started and the risk is to find itself with a males population (1 dominant male and others pseudo-males with possibles braws.

It seems to be than the sexuation of Nemanthias carberriy is less marked...

A friend of mine has a lot of anthias in his tank (I am going to guess around 6) in his 180. The only thing that happened was one turned into the male and that was that. Thats his personal experience. Hope this helps.
You're Norma Desmond you used to be big.

I am big it's the pictures that got small.

From the classic movie "Sunset Boulevard"

            Not properly ,

Soon they will form a new hierarchy and will remain a dominant male and the other will become female (the Anthias are hermaphrodite).

Anyway, would be better to introduce only a male from the start, this will avoids all the fights necessary to reach a stable situation in the small comunity.

Quite frankly I think the bigger one will do something like this to the 3 smaller ones:

              :chainsaw:
              400 gallon reef, Bubble King 300, I~Spin, 2 x 10,000K BLV 400W, 2 x 20,000K Radium 400W, 2 x 6,400K Osram 400W, Schuran Jetstream 1, AquaController Pro

Nick, I believe Anthias are like clown fish. They start juv. to female or male. Once they become a male they can NOT go back to female. You need to start w/ 4 juv or females not 4 males. The dominant male will kill other males.

...they can NOT go back to female
No, if i remember right, as all the group animals, they can modify the status as is required from the situation.

Do not take this for 100%, i'm not so sure, but 90%.

                    Bye
