  • Trapped Air

I seem to be getting trapped air inside my Zeovit reactor. Everythime I go to stir/mix/clean the Zeolite I can see it releasing some air bubbles. Will this cause an issue? I believe that they are coming from the overflow into my sump where the reactor is.

    Thanks!

Sounds like you've got some micro bubbles going through the system.

I've asked the question before and the answer I got was, no, air won't harm the process.

Hi Todd, the word "zeolite" translated from Greek derv. means "boiling stones". Zeolites are ion-exchangers & the "fizz" effect from them is normal within the zeo-filter. The sticky at the very top of this forum, Newcomer Information contains an article written by Jens Kallmeyer explaining their function within our aquaria--"Zeolite Filters". It's a good read. Bob
