  • How fast did results happen?

For a new Zeovit user what should one expect to see happening? And how soon.

    Thanks!

Clearer water at 1-2 days.. Coral improvement about 6 weeks in for me... All depends on your nutrient level to begin with..

Ok, stop... Now I am getting excited. NY I appreciate all your help. I guess I don't need the clapper. My setup is inside my sump and the waterline is above the Zeolite at all times, I also have a reactor from Madison that has a ball that stops the flow. Should I be worried about lighting in my sump as I run a 24/7 light for my fuge.

        Thanks,
        Todd

You can run your fuge without lights or macros and still get the zooplankton.

like he said u can run it but you have to watch your macro when ur nutrients get lower and lower the macro dies off and when it does it releases nutrients into the water column

                  Greetings All !

You can run your fuge without lights or macros and still get the zooplankton.
Absolutely ... but as long as you have the light there, and if you can easily connect it to a timer, Hoff & Snell (1987) recommend a 16L:8D photoperiod for maximum reproduction rates (amphipods, mysids, and ciliates). A nice little pile of LR "rubble" will also prove helpful. But you can still get a heathly, productive zooplankton population without any lighting at all.

... but you have to watch your macro when ur nutrients get lower and lower the macro dies off and when it does it releases nutrients into the water column.
Definitely ... and the addition of Zeo chemicals can also stimulate the macros to sporulate.

So if I am reading this right, I should remove all the macro in my sump/fuge as well as the sand bed in there??

Any good ideas on pulling a sand bed out of a tank that is on the floor?? Hence no syphon.

No Todd one would need to take the tank offline or shut down the whole system. I suppose if you put a micron sock on it's outflow port, one could manually scoop the sand Bob
