I recently started running Ozone on my non-zeo tank. When I started my ORP levels were around 275. Now with the use of Ozone I keep my ORP in the 350 to 375 range. I have noticed that since I have kept my ORP levels up I seem to have better polyp extension on my SPS. How do you manage ORP levels in a ZEOvit tank since you cannot use ozone? Is ORP really that important?

Hi Wade, ORP measures the redox. potential of your water. It is desireable to have this reading about in your range when dosing 03. It does not measure nutrients directly, & therefore, can be misleading in that regard. If one feeds cylop-eeze to your fish, p-e will increase, while ORP will decrease temporarily. But, in general, ORP increases are a good sign. Having said that, I ran 03 with RowaPhos before beginning the ZEOvit method & never had the p-e or coloration & growth, in my corals, that exists today. Bob"There might be something to this ZEOvit" -
