Hi all French members, sorry for my lack of French understanding in the above posts but I thought I'd relate my experience[not a scientitic explanation, as I'm from the school that "the proof is in the pudding", ie. "seeing is believing"] in regards to K-Balance, in particular, & ZEOvit in general. I've now been using ZEOvit method for over 1 1/2 years, & I must tell you, unless you've tried K-Balance, you can not believe the improvement in the deep, rich colors in the SPS that it produces, especially when dosed with PIF[potassium-iodide-flouride], & proper dosages of ZeoSpur-ME & ZeoSpur2. Coral coloration now glows, even after I turn off my lights, there is now an "afterglow." K+ ion imbalance/deficiency can occur in our reefs from a mutitude of factors, including but not limited to, K+ deciency in our saltmixes[yes there are some saltmixes that will not be named], overutilization by a heavy bioload in our reefs, & the new oversized skimmers that many of us now use. I suggest that you all should try this for yourselves before passing judgement. Dose 1 ml/400ltrs. net for 3 consecetive days, then dose this 2 times per week when you dose PIF. This dosage has proven safe in my aquarium. Excess quantities can result in a brownish biofilm accumulation on our panes & in heavy excess, algae breakouts, & tip recession. Could one of our French members translate this for all our French members, thnx. Bob

Timo, I can tell you, if there where not such people in our hobby, we would still keep only the same kind of corals we kept in the early eighties, also the whole ZeoVit system would not exist.

It is relative easy to design a chemical formula for everything, but often the reaction is totally different, especially if we talk about such complex formations like coral reefs.

Bonsoir aux menbres français, désolé de mon manque de compréhension du français pour les posts ci dessus( mais je voulais relater mon expérience et non une explication scientifique car je fais parti de l'école de ceux qui pensent que "la preuve est dans le gâteau" ou "voir c'est croire" concernant K-balance en particulier et zeovit en général
J'ai maintenant utilisé la méthode ZEOVIT pendant plus de 1 ans 1/2 et je dois vous dire, à moins que vous n'ayez essayé le K-balance, vous ne pouvez pas imaginer l'amélioration des couleurs plus profondes et riches des SPS qu'il produit, particulièrement quand dosé avec PIF [potassium-iodide-flouride] et les dosages appropriés de ZeoSpur-me et ZeoSpur2.
La coloration du corail s'intensifie, même après l'extinction des hqi , il y a maintenant "une postluminescence". le déséquilibre/manque d'ion K+ peut arriver dans nos récifs par une multitude de facteurs, y compris, mais pas seulement à une déficience dans votre sel[oui il y a un certains sels que je ne nommerai pas], La surutilisation par une charge biologique importante de nos récifs et les nouveaux écumeurs surdimensionnés que beaucoup d'entre nous utilisent maintenant . Je suggère que vous tous l'essayez vous-mêmes avant de juger. Dose 1 ml/400ltrs. pendant 3 jours consecutifs, doser 2 fois par semaine en même temps quePIF.
Ce dosage a prouvé son inocuité dans mon aquarium. Les quantités en excès peuvent aboutir à une apparition d'un biofilm brunâtre sur les vitres et en excès important, des invasions d'algues et une récession des pointes

donc lecture de la traduction de babiche, a cause de certains sel utiliser , nos coraux ne sont pas luminescens ?
et grace a K-balance il le redevienderont?
et une fois nos milles et une lumiere allumer que cela vas il changer ?

Very much agreed, my snipe was more targeted at modern medicine than reefkeeping :p
