Hi jpm, with the ZEOvit method, our water parameters mirror those of natural seawater: Ca>400<450/Mg>1200<1400/KH 6-8 & very narrowly stable/salinity 1.023-26 & narrowly stable. Your Ca/Mg is too low, as you noted & KH too high[9]. I'd suggest switching to Oceanic salt gradually to help with your Ca Reactor to maintain these stable parameters inline. Be patient, as ZEOvit may take some months before coloring your corals. Use only K-Z products for the best result, especially their zeolites, as their function is different from others that are now entering the marketplace, zeo-carbon & supplements. For your system, I recommend:

1)place 1 1/2 ltr.carbon in a filter sock, passively in a low flow area of your sump, kneaded every other day & exchanged monthly.
2)place 4 ltr. zeolites in a zeo-reactor with the flow rate of ~1600 l/h. A little more or less is fine. Cycle the reactor on & off at 3 hr. intervals, with the use of a timer. Be sure the stones remain submerged under water when the reactor is "off"--a check valve inline betwwen your pump & reactor may be necessary to prevent back-siphoning. Handle pump your stones 1-2 x's/day about 10 repetitions each time. Do this when the reactor is "on". Exchange the stones every 6wks.
3)dose 15 drops Bak & 10 drops Food daily for the 1st 2 wks. with new zeolites, then dose Bak & Food 2x's/wk. Dose these near the zeo-reactor pump when "on". Turn off your skimmer for 60min after dosing these. ZeoBak is refrigerated[as is Coral Vitalizer]
4)dose 2ml Start2 2x's/day daily near the reactor pump when "on". It is not necessary to turn off the skimmer when just dosing Start2.
5)Optional but recommended:dose 8 drops AAHC & 20 drops C-V daily directly into your display tank, as these provide an energy source for our corals in a lowering nutrient environment.
