Hi Jose Luis & bienvenido la ZEOvit, com. Before beginning the ZEOvit method, please read & understand the ZEOvit guide for a thorough understanding of the method. A P04 remover such as PB is not used with ZEOvit. With ZEOvit, the parameters mirror those of natural seawater, Ca.400/Mg>1250/KH 6-8/salinity 1.023-26. Gradually reduce your dKH to the above range & maintain it's stability. I run mine at 7.8-8.0. After the KH is inline & stable, you can begin ZEOvit. Adding another Tunze or two will greatly help with any in-tank current problem. For your system, I recommend the following:

1)dose 1/3 ltr. carbon in a filter sock, passively in a low flow area of your sump, kneaded 3x's/wk & exchanged monthly. I strongly recommend the K-Z carbon but any lo-P04 carbon will do.
2)dose 3/4 ltr. zeolites in a filter with the water flow rate of 300 l/h. Cycle the filter on & off at 3 hr. intervals, being sure the stones are always submerged when the filter is "off". A check valve may be needed to prevent back-siphoning, when in the "off" mode. Pump the filter to clean the stones 1-2 x's/day. Do this when the zeo-filter is is "on". The zeolites are exchanged every 6wks.
3)dose 3 drops Bak & Food daily for the 1st 2wks. with new zeolites then 3 drops each 2x's/wk. Dose these near the zeo-filter pump when it is "on". Turn off your skimmer for 60min after dosing Bak & Food. It is not necessary to turn off the skimmer when just dosing Start2
4)dose .5ml Start2 2x's/day daily. Again dose this in front of your zeo-reactor when it's operating.
5)optional:dose 2-3 drops AAHC daily in the display tank;dose 6-8 drops C-V daily; the other zeo-supplements will be added later on when nutrients are lower. Ask Carlos or post-up here any questions you may have, thnx. Bob

            Gracias

            HI there

Tomorrow will be full filing my 4th week with Zeovit and will do my first lith change

            My parameters as today are

Nitrate not detectable with Hagen test
Phosphate not detectable with Hagen test
            Ca 440 (saliferts)
            KH 7 salifert´s
Mg 1200 salifert´s and going up

            I’m currently adding

            Start2 0.5 ml twice a day
            Bak and food 2x´s/wk
Not yet started with AAHC and CV

In the bright side I’ve observed great water clarity and a SPS polyp extension as I never saw
In the dark side I have been seeing some ciano patches here and there, not much but in this tank I never saw ciano before.
My question is besides changing the lith (and should I left some percentage) I need to modify my doses? And should I start AAHC and CV?

            Thanks a Lot

Hola Jose los brotes de ciano son de color marron/verdoso? si lo son entonces reduce el start2 a una sola vez por dia.

Thnx. Jose Luis for your update As Nestor mentioned, a reduction in the zeo's is necessary at this time. Use about 5% "old" zeolites to help seed the new. The zeolite-time period now extends from 4 wks.to 6wks. For the next 6wks. I recommend the following:

1)use the same quantities of carbon & zeolites. Jose Luis try using K-Z's carbon if you are using another brand--it's just a better carbon. Be sure the zeo-filter flow rate is correct--too slow or too fast results in less than optimal results.
2)dose 3 drops Bak & Food every other day for the 1st 2wks. then 3 drops each 2x's/wk. Try to clean the stones more often--by another 1 or 2 times a day about 5 repetitions each time--total of 3-4 x's/day. This will increase utilization of the zeo-components
                3)dose Start2 0.1ml 2x's/day
4)dose 2 drops AAHC & 8 drops C-V daily directly into the display tank
5)Remind me after the end of this 6wk. cycle to discuss PIF/Fe & the Spurs. Bob

                    Hi Everybody

Bob I have a question for you, if you allow me

I have recently (3 days ago) added a new sump in my system which rises the total volume to about 110 US gallons, I’m on my fourth week of the second zeolite cycle adding
                    2 drops of AAHC daily
                    8 drops of CV daily
                    .2 of start2 twice a day
Back and food 3 drops 2x´ week

Cyano is almost gone and my new APF 600 is up and running :yesway:

What if any doses do I need to adjust ?

                    Thanks in advance

                    Jose Luis

Hi Jose Luis, & congrats on upgrading your piece of the ocean. For your last two wks. I'd continue exactly as you are & the following recommendations will apply to your next zeolite exchange:

1)place 1ltr. zeolites in your zeo-reactor with the flow rate ~ 100gph[400 l/h]. A little less is fine. Clean the stones 3-4 x's/day about 5-10 repetitions each time, of course, when the reactor is "on". Continue cycling the reactor for several months yet. Exchange every 6wks.
2)place 1 Cup carbon in a filter sock & knead this bag daily. Exchange monthly.
3)dose Bak & Food7 3 drops every other day with new zeolites, then 4 drops each 2x's/wk
                      4)dose Start2 .2ml 3x's/day
5)dose 4 drops AAHC & 10drops C-V daily. If you are not using PIF & Fe[iron] let's begin, as this will improve color. Dose 6 drops PIF & 3 drops Fe into your display 2x's/wk. It is not necessary to turn off your skimmer when dosing the zeo-supplements. If you are already dosing PIF & Fe, let's begin dosing K-Balance & Spur-Me, otherwise we wait on these until after 6wks. of using PIF & Fe. Jose Luis, let me know if you are planning to begin Spur-ME & K-B for dosing recommendations, Bob

I´m still not using PIF and Fe, so in the next cycle I will begin using them.

Thanks Bob and I let you know when I start Spur Me and K B for your advice

PD I´m using now the K-Z carbon and you are correct, it´s better than the others I´d used

                        Thanks

Hi Jose Luis, thnx. for your tank/corals update. Any pictires would be helpful. For the next cycle & until the corals's colors look stronger, it would be best to hold Spur-ME & Spur2. Are you dosing PIF & Fe? These will strengthen color if used correctly. If you are using these, can you give me their dosages that you are currently using?

I believe K-Balance will help strengthen, color, p-e, etc. if your parameters have been stable. Dose 1ml K-B daily for 5 days, observe, if corals look better, then dose 0.5ml daily for 5 more days. Your maintenance dose will will .2ml daily. Bob

Im not the best photographer but here are some shots

                              M undata before

                              now

this are just examples, not all colonies are like this ones but I hope you get the idea.
