Zeovit y compativilidades

Estoy pensando en utilizar Zeovit en mi acuario de 540 litros predominantes de SPS.
El caso es que estoy utilizando aditivos mediante peristalticas Grotech ( uso Coral A, B, C, Vitamino, Ca+Kh 1, 2 y 3)

Son compatibles esta forma de aditar. Habia pensado en la posibilidad de añadir un reactor de calcio a mi sistema, pero... con el reactor unicamente podria mantener calcio y magnesio.... que pasa con todos los otros elementos que adito con las peristalticas (manganeso, boro, litio, aminoacidos.....)

Hi Marc, I'm unfamilar with these coral/reef additives but I know the success with ZEOvit hinges with one using only the zeo-products. A Ca Reactor is necessary for maintaining stable parameters as you mentioned. I recommend using a media[aragonite] to supply the other elements in proportion to those that occur in natural sea water. One could do the Ca/KH only & add extra elements, but how much? How often? To begin ZEOvit, one needs a zeo-reactor with the water flow botton-to-top, & other canister filters have been modified to hold the zeolites. In addition, you would need ZeoBak, ZeoFood & ZeoStart2. These can be obtained from Ramon[devilsea]. If you plan to begin ZEOvit method, plz. complete the questionnaire sticky near the top of the Espanol forum "tell us about your tank" for dosing recommendations for your reef. Thnx. Bob

3.¿Usas reactores de calcio u otras técnicas para aumentar el calcio? ¿cuales?: Reactor no, peristalticas de grotech usando KH+CA 1 , KH+CA 2 y KH+CA 3
4.?Usas reactor de fosfatos? Descríbelo, ¿cuanto tiempo hace que lo usas? : Si, Rowaphos, desde hace 10 semanas.
5.¿Usas ozono? : No
6.¿Usas UV? : No
7.¿Que skimmer usas?(tipo, volumen de agua tratada) : Deltec APF 600
8.Niveles actuales de PO4 y NO3 : PO4 = 0.2 , NO3 = 20
9.Niveles actuales de Ca, Kh y Mg : Ca = 400 , KH = 8 , MG = 1250
10Método de filtración utilizado (refugio de macroalgas, DSB, Miracle MUD, etc...) = SSB aprox 4-5 cm de Nature’s ocean
11.Tipo de iluminación(watts, temperatura de color, antigüedad de las lámparas): T5, 8x80 W , 2 actinicos ,6 14,000 k
12.¿Que corales mantienes? : SPS : Acropora, Montipora, Pocillopora. LPS : Cicloseris, favites, euphilias, galaxea… Otros: Ricordea, zooanthus…
13.Coloración de los mismos (claros o oscuros) : Oscuros
14.¿Cuanto tiempo tiene el acuario?: Iniciado en Junio 2005
15.¿Por que quieres utilizar el sistema ZEOvit? : Para conseguir gran claridad en el agua y mejorar la coloracion de mis animales.
16.Dosificación de elementos traza y demás aditivos : Grotech : Coral A, B, C = 50 ml de cada uno a la semana, Vitamino = 50 ml a la semana, KH + CA 1,2,3 = 75 ml a la semana.
17.Roca viva (cantidad y antigüedad) : 60 kilos añadida en junio ’05 ( directamente del importador, sin curar)
18.¿Tienes problemas en tu acuario? : Alguno
19.Descripción de los problemas que tienes (perdida de pólipos, perdidas de bases, diatomeas, algas, etc...: Principalmente, algas verdes en el cristal y cianos en el sustrato.
20.¿Que tests utilizas? (antiguedad, calibracion, marca) : Todo de salifert, comprados en agosto 05
21.¿Dosis actuales de ZEOvit,ZEObak,ZEOfood,ZEOstart, ZEOspur2, etc...? : De momento nada
22.Otros parámetros (Temp., salinidad, ph, redox, etc....): Temperatura : 25º (invierno) , 26 º (verano). Salinidad : 1024, PH : 7.8 - 8.2 , Redox : 450

Hi Marc, & thanx. for your tank information With ZEOvit method P04-remover is not used[RowaPhos], as ZEOvit will deplete your nutrient load nicely & evenly with cycling of the zeolite-filter, etc. I am unfamilar with your Ca/buffer additives, however, your parameters are fine & inline. If these additives supply other trace elements, just note that these along with the traces supplied with the weekly 5-10% water changes recommended with using ZEOvit may result in darkening coloration of your corals. For your system, I recommend the following:

1)dose 1/2 ltr. carbon, in a filter sock, passively in your sump, kneaded 3x's/wk & exchanged monthly.
2)dose 1 1/4 ltr. zeolites in a zeolite reactor with the flow rate of 450 l/h. A little more or less is fine. Cycle the zeo-filter on & off at 3 hr. intervals, being careful the stones remain submerged at all times. Clean the zeolites surfaces 1-2 x's/day by pumping the handle up & down ~10 repetitions each time. Do this when the filter is "on". Exchange the zeolites every 6wks.
3)dose 4 drops Bak & Food daily for the 1st 2wks. then 5 drops 2x's/wk until the next zeolite exchange. Dose these near the zeo-filter pump when it is "on". ZeoBak[& Coral-Vitalizer] needs refrogeration. Turn off your skimmer for 60min after dosing these. It is not necessary to turn off the skimmer when just dosing Start2.
4)dose 1 ml Start2 2x's/day daily. Dose this in front of your zeo-reactor pump when it is "on"
5)optional: dose 4 drops AAHC daily;dose 10-12 drops C-V daily--the zeo-supplements are dosed directly into the display tank. Buena serte en nueva andudura con la ZEOvit, Bob
