  • Roca viva y Zeovit

    Hola,

    Hi,
How you know, my tanks are 10 years old. For then, people runned Berlin method in their thanks and it needed 20-25% LR according to tank volume.
Seeing the new tendences, the question is:
Is this amount of LR necessary in a zeovit system?
Would be better less LR obtaining better movement of water, for instance?
    What is your opinion?

    Bye

Hi Juan Carlos, theoretically with the zeolites/ZEOvit, one does not need any LR. Additional housing for bacteria provided by LR adds more reserve[stability] but not at the cost of decreased flow in a SPS reef. In other words, one does not need extra LR for biological filtration with ZEOvit, but enough for reefscaping is recommended. Bob

      Gracias Bob.
