Terminando la tercera tanda

Pues como dice el titulo, esta semana proxima termino la tercera tanda de ZEO, despues de 4 meses utilizando el sistema, puedo decir que el crecimiento de los corales es espectacular, sus colores se han vuelto mas claros, (mas parecidos a cuando los compre) y el agua esta supertransparente, tambien mis parametros son mas estables a exepcion del KH, que siempre se me ha resistido, pero bueno, vayamos al tema :icon_mrgr

Parametros a dia de hoy:

Densidad : 1025
Temperatura : 25,3º
Redox : 452
pH : 8,04
Ca : 400
Mg : 1300
KH : 5
Po4 : 0,00
Si02 : 0,07
NO3 : 10 (je, je, han bajado de 30 mg/l :smoker: )

Ahora paso a detallar la dosificacion actual y ha solicitar la nueva, (si es necesario) :icon_mrgr

ZEOvit : Change every 6 weeks
"Meneo" to reactor : 3 times for day
Flow water to reactor : 3 h. open, 3 h. closed (1000 l./h.)
ZEOstart-2 : .5 and .5 every day
AAHC : 3 drops, every day
ZEObac : 4 drops, 3 times for week
ZEOfood-7 : 2 drops, 3 times for week
PIF : 4 drops, 2 times for week
Pohl's CV : 10 drops, every day

¿Continuo, cambio algo?

Creo que lo que todavia no he logrado es una coloracion "espectacular", pero si que noto el acuario mas "limpio" se nota que ha ido expulsando todo lo que tenia almacenado, creo que esta mucho mas "natural"

a question, my corals are becoming again dark, the blue ones throw to green, the yellows to brown, that I must change? The Nitrates are lowering, but the coloration returns to grow dark, can be the PCV? or perhaps the AAHC? I reduce the doses?

una pregunta, mis corales están volviendose otra vez oscuros, los azules tiran a verde, los amarillos a marron ¿que debo de cambiar? Los Nitratos están bajando, pero la coloracion vuelve a oscurecer, ¿puede ser el PCV? o tal vez el AAHC? reduzco las dosis?

Hola Ramon, parece que los estas alimentando muy bien, ponlos a dieta, yo reduciria durante algunas semanas las dosis a ver que pasa.

Hi Ramon, its likely your well feeding them, put them on diet, i would reduce dosing during a few weeks and see what happens.

Hi Ramon, as Brian mentioned, we need to reduce the zeo's some at this time. Assuming you have not changed salts or carbon, all the zeo's in excess can cause darkening of the corals with the exception of Spur2 & C-V. Therefore, I recommend the following:

1)continue the same quantities of zeolites & carbon[Ramon, use K-Z carbon--it makes a difference]. The zeo-filter flow rate should be unaltered--be sure it's 400 l/h per 1 ltr. zeolites used--as an example, if you are using 2 ltrs.zeolites the flow rate should be 800 l/h. The correct flow rate is paramount. Increasing the number of times you clean the stones/day will lighten the corals while lowering the nutrients even further plus feeding more mulm to your corals.
2)be sure your KH is stable & between 6-8 dKH
3)decrease Bak & Food7 dosings to 2x's/wk. Use the same amounts as before.
4)decrease Start2 to .25ml 2x's/day[total quantity daily is .5ml]
5)decrease AAHC to 3 drops 3x's/wk
6)continue the current dosages of PIF & C-V

Until now, I use ROWA-carbon and today (for four weeks) I use the KZ-carbon

And reference a the sal, before it used, ocean water (mediterranea water) but for almost three months use sal OCEANIC.

Es que ni tan solo hemos importado este producto en España, ¿que diferencia hay con el ZEOspur-2?

Otra cosa, cuentanos cosas sobre el nuevo "K-balance" ¿Es importante utilizarlo? ¿en que casos hay que usarlo?

Hi Ramon, yes, I use Spur-ME which is entirely different than Spur2. Spur-ME provides elements not found in our salt but occur in natural seawater. Use this once a week at the dose recommendations in the Espanol ZEOvit guide. It defines coral coloration, especially brightening the tips of Acroporas. It is not a essential for our corals but in late Phase 2 & in Phase 3, it effects are easily seen

Spur2 lightens coral colors by "pushing away" the coral's zooxanthellae. It's use is noticed most on dark corals. This additive is the most effective in bringing color to our corals but also the most difficult to determine dosage, as it's dosage will vary in individual similar-sized systems due to nutrient levels, water composition & general health of the corals. I recommend dosing 1ml/50-75g or 200-300ltrs once every two weeks. Please refer to the current Espanol thread here by Guppy for further Spur2 dosing recommendations.

K-Balance replenishes K+ element that in some reefs becomes deficit from deficiency of K+ in some salts, overskimming & overutilization of K+ by a extreme heavy bioload system. Most reefs will not be K+ depleted, but signs of this deficiency are lost of pink colors in Stylo's, Pocci's, & Seratioporas, & color in Monti plates & blue fading in Acroporas. Unfortunately, there is not any tests for K+ at the hobbyist level The dosage is 1ml/100ltrs/day until pinks & blues regain their color strength. At that time, the maxpoint has been reached & further dosing can result in excess, seen as algae blooms or tissue-tip recession. Ramon, I have not received K-Balance from Thomas & my corals are very colorful, but I'll try this for a time & observe for coral enhancement. Alexander has dosed this & he has been impressed by the growth seen with this. Bob

Hi Ramon, sí yo uso Spur-ME que es completamente diferente a Spur2. Spur-ME provee elementos no encontrados en nuestras sales pero que pueden ocurrir en agua marina natural. Usalo una vec en semana en las dosis recomendadas en la guía ZEOvit en Español. Define la coloración del coral, especialmente abrillantando las puntas de las Acroporas. No es algo esencial para nuestros corales pero a final de la Fase 2 y en Fase 3, sus efectos se aprecian fácilmente

Spur2 aclara los colores "empujando fuera" las zooxanthella. Su uso se nota más en corales oscuros. Este aditivo es lo más efectivo en traer color a nuestros corales pero también es lo más dificil de determinar la dosis, dado que la dosis variará en diferentes sistemas de tamaño similiar debido a las diferencias de niveles nutrientes, composición del agua y salud general de los corales. Yo recomiendo usar 1ml/50-75galones o 200-300litros cada dos semanas. Por favor consulta el post reciente de Guppy, en Español, para más información acerca de las recomendaciones de dosificación de Spur2.

K-Balance repone el elemento K+ que en aglunos arrecifes es deficitario debido a la deficiencia de K+ en algunas sales, exceso de skimming y exceso de consumo de K+ por un sistema con biocarga muy alta. La mayoría de los arrecifes no tendran K+ agotado, pero señales de esta deficiencia son la pérdida de color rosa de las Sytlos, Poccis y Seriatoporas y color en las Monti plato y difuminación del azul en Acroporas. Desafortunadamente, no hay tests de K+ a nivel avicionado La dosis es 1ml/100ltrs/day hasta que rosados y azules recuperarn su intesidad de color . En ese momento, el puno máximo ha sido alcanzado y aditar más puede resultar en un exceso que se notará con la apariencia de aglas o recesión de tejido-puntas. Ramon, no he recibido K-Balance from Thomas & y mis mi corales estan muy coloridos, pero lo probaré un tiempo y observaré para ver mejoras del coral. Alexander aditado esto y está impresionado con el crecimiento que ha visto con el. Bob

For sure, Ramon, Spur2 more than any other supplement in the K-Z lineup will colorize our corals by decreasing the zooxanthellae which blocks the coral pigment. The trick is finding the appropriate dose for each system. Begin at 60% of the recommended Espanol ZEOvit guidelines. Every two wks. the dosage is increased 15% until color lightening lasts 7 days from the Spur2 dosage.

Potassium is essential for metabolic pathways within our animals[corals]. Our only guide to this deficiency is too light of colors in our corals assuming all parameters are inline & stable. Most tanks do not need K-Balance, as mine, which has 100% coloration. I'm trying this for a time in lower than recommended dosage to observe it's effect on color & growth, especially Stylo's, Pocci's, Seratioporas, & blue Acro's. If your corals are toward the dark side of coloration, K-Balance will not help your color but will enhance their growth. Please refer to the previous post on K-Balance's dosage. Bob

OK, ya he realizado el pedido de los "nuevos productos" Zeo-spur ME y el K-balance, estaran disponibles en breve.

Bob, ¿puedes indicarme las dosificaciones recomendables para mi acuario? (teniendo en cuenta mi peculiar situacion, por cierto, mis corales ya se estan volviendo a aclarar despues de reducir las dosis de Zeostart, Zeobac y Zeofood)
