I was wondering if my sedra 9000's pumps could be replaced with Red Dragon pumps

I have to replace those sedra pumps all the time, and the lower watt pumps would sure help that ever increasing electric bill

I am just not sure if they would fit, maybe some of you BK lovers-owners could shed some light on my situation
    thankyou

probably possible. Try and match the internal volume of the G6 with a corresponding BK and then the corresponding pump.
    10x3x2 FOWLR (for now)
    BK400ext
RD12 return, 2 RD12 closed loop, wavebox with extension
    MRC kalkmixer
    IKS

Is there any other links that carry Red Dragon pumps then captiveoceans, and royal-exclusiv?
The captive oceans site never brings up the Red Dragon link, not sure why
      thank you for your reply

yep, captiveoceans side somehow doesnt work for me either, but your best bet would be www.royal-exclusiv.de is also in english, gives you the most info about RD's,
here is the link to the english version on RE,

wow, sure are expensive little pumps
now, i know why BK's are so pricey.
          thanks for the help
I think i will just stick with my G6 until i save up enough to replace it with a BK

I have never used, or have even seen a BK up close, do you think they will out perform a G6?

Just out of curiosity, are there any other skimmers that preform like a BK?

The "simple" answer is no. Because nothing quite has the "package" of silence, effeciency and fine foam production of the BK.

That being said, can you get a different skimmer that will ultimately do as good of a job but sacrifice some other aspect of performance? Absolutely. H&S, Deltec are very good skimmers. Large Becketts can work as well. In particular I like the Deltecs with the self cleaning heads. That's a SWEET setup.

ASMs are ok. There's nothing "wrong" with them. Can you get a "better performer"? Sure. But it's not like you've got a skimmer that "doesn't work".

I am going to be setting up a 75 gal. zeo tank very soon, and you have convinced me to go with the BK.
                      thank you for your replies
I think the BK 200 Internal would be the best bet. Do you agree?

A lot of this depends on your setup size and constraints. For sure on a 75g a BK200 is PLENTY of skimmer.

for 75gal i would wait for the new smaller BK's to come out, the BK 200 would be overkill
