New BK Skimmer

I heard fo a while agout that i should came out smaler BK Skimmer has someone some info about this?
This is what i haved read

Klaus has advertised for January 2006 smaller skimmers, with a similar technique like the present available Bubble King skimmers.

There are no prices available now, but he has signalized, the price will be much lower than the bigger Bubble King skimmers which are sold now. The present models will be further available, without any modifications.

BK 160 for tanks up to 105 gallons, = ca. 105 gallons air intake – available in January 2006 - ?
BK 180 for tanks up to 185 gallons, = ca. 158 gallons air intake - ? - ?
BK 200 for tanks up to 263 gallons. = ca. 210 gallons air intake - ? – 28W "

Klaus had the new BK's (160-200 so called small BK's) running on the test stand for 6 month and after checking the pumps wear, klaus was not satisfied, he is modifing the pumps as we speak, i haven't heard when he will be done with it, i would think he will be testing again before shipping them out, no date set as far i know,

as for what was not good enough on the pumps, the shaft and barrings showed some wear after 6 month, which was a no no for klaus so he is changing both to a higher quality material, as far i know the same material as he is using on the RD's right now, because he knows that those will last

now are BK's rated tank size a true size or like oher skimmers that u have to double the tank size ????

They about as true as I have seen. I think they are a little under what they can really do. I will say they are VERY EFFICIENT!

The information is out on their webpage. Unfortunately only in German. The facts should be somewhat understandable anyway:

BK 180 für Aquarien bis 700 Liter, = 600 Liter Luft = 650.- Euro
BK 200 für Aquarien bis 1000 Liter. = 800 Liter Luft = 850.- Euro

Modell 160 = 28 Watt
Modell 180 = 35 Watt
Modell 200 = 42 Watt.

Die Auslieferung der ersten BK wird Anfang Februar erfolgen. Lieferbar ab einer Woche, sind die neuen BK aber erst ab 1.3.06
