Skimmer ??????

My ASM G6 for some reason at night is overflowing then in the morning goes back to normal does anyone have any ideas why this is happening ?

At night do you have any pumps that shut down, which change the flow rate or the height of the water in your sump?

I have 4 tunze 6100's on the multi controller but they lower not shut down Wouldnt that lower the sump instead of raise it ?

Well the Tunzes shouldn't affect the sump at all.

Do you have a topoff system on a timer, that is running at night and over filling the sump ?

no i have a auto top off that is on a float switch i lowered it to see if that helps any suggestions ??

well I not very sure but my guess is somehow the swing in PH will affect the performance of the skimmer cause I also observe similiar thing

Ok this is still happening I dont know what the hell it is making the skimmer to do this. It is like a alarm clock for me now 630 7 am I here the clanking noise of the skimmer cap bouncing up and down

Are you feeding the tank right before the lights go out? Are you adding anything at night that would make the skimmer work overtime?

Waterlevel has never made too much a diff with my old asm untill i added the gate valve mod.
Does it happen when Zeolith rx shuts down? If you do have the gatevalve mod i found having the last piece of pvc above the waterline so waterlevel would not put backpressure to the system
