New skimmer break in period?

I just changed to a larger euro reef skimmer. And was wondering how long am I going to have to wait for it to start skimming? its working properly I think just no skimate. I think this is normal but I am just so impatient. And I dont like my tank not being skimmed. Thanks

Normally it will take at least 1-2 days for the skimmer to break it. Hang in there.
