U will love it! Trust me. Give it a day or so to break in and it will perform like magic.

Or is it better to have the ball valve near this position ?

IMHO, the first position is better. The thing is that, whats the ht of the overflow in relative to the skimmer inlet? Do you think you have enuff head to push thru the water and overcome the resistance from the higher water outlet of the skimmer? Sumthing to think about I guess. Cheers

put a ball valve on the sump arm as well. You may need to "force" flow preferentially into the skimmer.

Fkadir, the ht from the overflow outlet to the skimmer inlet is 24.5 inches, the overflow is an schuran box rated for 528 gallons of flow.

Your right moonpod, just forgot to draw it on the pic.

Does anyone else think this is the best plumbing setup for the skimmer ?

Hi Brian & you have a great skimmer I leave my outflow valve always wide open & adjust the feed pump flow, & air-valve[s] only so as not to create back-pressure within the skimmer. The return pipe should use gravity. Bob
