.. The Bubble KING! Royalty at its best!

I was in total awe and shock when I started unraveling the skimmer. I dont think you could prepare yourself for what was in the 70lb box! It makes other skimmers I have seen in person look like toys. Very well built skimmer and i would definitely recommend it to the serious reefer!

This is a skimmer for hobbyist and I don't think you'll find another to which it can be compared. Sorry that's just how I see it and I'm not trying to say anything else is no good.
It would take a 6 foot tall commercial type skimmer I think to overcome my first impressions of the BK. But then that one would require a 10amp motor to drive it.

Edward... did you take any close-up shots. I don't think I found a flaws anywhere on my 300 with all welds perfect.

Steve, the B-K is indeed impressive, but my Hanna continues to run .00 with my Deltec skimmer, & my foam-bubbles looks the same as the pix's of the B-K, with wet skimming. This is inspite of the fact that I've doubled my coral-fish-feedings & zeo-supplements Bob

Like I said Bob, no doubt other skimmers will do the job.

But I've seen other "large" pinwheel, downdraft and injection type skimmers with price tags over $1,500 and when you look at those next to a BK they all look like they could have been made by ASM.

But then I've never seen a Deltec in person so it could be different.

Bob, i am sure you are happy with your Deltec, but thats only because you haven't seen a BK in person yet

Steve, I agree with you. I have seen those tall skimmers especially from PM and its not as impressive as the BK. All along I have seen pictures here and there, but seeing it in person is a whole different experience. It takes a lot to impress me! I have the pics I took and they are in high quality. I can zoom in and there arent any flaws. I even checked myself all around to find one imperfection, but couldnt.

Another thing too.. is that the Deltec are 10" in width (model 1004).. the BK 400 looks a lot wider than 10". I need to measure it. Are Deltec's made out of Acrylic or PVC? I know the FR509 Rxtr i have is PVC. Acrylic is supposedly more expensive too especially since cost of acrylic is rising just like steel.

I think the only person who can compare the two is moonpod. He has both and wouldnt mind knowing what he thinks about each of them.

Hi Edward, at this point, I couldn't be happier with my results from ZEOvit & my Deltec skimmer. But who knows what the future will be Bob
