Bubble King and delivery time

I am thinking to order one BK from Royal-exclusiv.. skimmer model 250 or 300 internal.

However I got very strange information about delivery time.

Can you put your experience about ordering and time from first contact to Royal-exclusiv to get skimmer on your home?

As I living in Europe I hope this delivery time will be shorter than 2 months
(which is the shortest delivery time I got from few owners of BK)

Where do you live in Europe? As far as I know, it takes about 3 weeks. Due to miscommunication between me, the lfs and the wholesaler/importer I've been waiting for quite some time now. My BK 200 internal should be here next week though.

Wir bedauern, dass es momentan, zu Lieferengpässen, bei den Bubble-King Abschäumern, kommt. Wir waren auf eine so große Nachfrage der BK nicht vorbereitet und haben auch nicht damit gerechnet. Die BK wuren ohne Rücksicht auf Kosten und Endpreis für unsere eigenen Meerwasseraquarien entwickelt und gebaut. Ein Verkauf war zunächst nicht geplant. Unser Hauptaufgabenfeld ist der Bau von exclusiven Meerwasseranlagen und Meerwasserfesten Pumpen, unter dem Namen, Red Dragon, bekannt. Eher zufällig haben Fachhändler, dann die halbfertigen Bubble King bei uns gesehen und gleich mitbestellt. Innerhalb eines halben Jahres waren die BK dann in Deutschland bekannt geworden. Als dann allerding die ersten Bilder der BK in ReefCentral auftauchten, ist dann der Bestelleingang von monatlich 2-5 Abschäumern, auf Z.Zt. 10-20 BK in der Woche, gestiegen und aufgrund dieser Menge, mußte der gesamte Arbeitsablauf geändert werden. Die vorher in kompletter Handarbeit hergestellten Teile, wurden zunächst in die CNC-Maschinen einprogrammiert, um eine Serienfertigung zu beginnen. Es wurden Maschinen und Werkzeuge angeschafft, sowie Schablonen und Presswerkzeuge, gebaut. Dieser Aufbauprozess hat sich über 3 Monate hingezogen und steht kurz vor dem Abschluss. Die ursprüngliche Konstruktion des BK wurde mittlerwiele dem 3. Update unterzogen und jedes Update ist mit immensem Programmieraufwand verbunden, um die Änderungen an die Maschinen zu übertragen.
Trotz aller Automation, ist auch noch ein großer Teil nur in Handarbeit zu machen und da ist das z.Z. größte Problem. Handarbeit ist teuer und zeitaufwändig. Allerdings nehmen wir lieber eine Auftragsstornierung in Kauf, als unser angestrebtes Qualitätsniveu zu senken oder die BK zum Massenartikel. verkommen zu lassen. Die Lieferzeiten der BK kann unterschiedlich sein. Sind die Teile vorproduziert, kann es u.U. auch möglich sein, einen BK innerhalb 14 Tagen zu bekommen. Müssen die Teile erst gefertigt werden oder wurde ein Update durchgeführt, wie gerade das Modell 2005, kann es u.U. auch 3-4 Monate werden. Es ist leider nicht zu ändern. Die BK werden auch in Zukunft keine Massenartikel sein. Ob der Kunde gewillt ist, eine so lange Lieferzeit zu akzeptieren, muss jeder selbst entscheiden, denn auf einen Ferrari wartet man doch auch u.U. lange.. Vielleicht sollte man BK-User fragen, ob sich die Wartezeit gelohnt hat ?

@Dejan.... wenn Dein Landsmann Branimir, mehr arbeiten käme, könnt ich auch die Lieferzeit für Deinen Abschäumer, verkürzen.... :smash:

I am not satisfied with English translation in AltaVista.. Probably more precise translation made by some german aquarist would be better.

However from Klaus answer I got information which I wanted to hear..

I hope in shortest time he will manage to overcome problems regarding manufacturing parts for skimmers and cut delivery times on reasonable time around 1 month.

In mean time be patient and wait for your BK skimmers!
