Air Flow and how is it measured on the BK

Klaus, or anyone who might know,
What method or type of meter do you use to measure the airflow rate on the BK skimmers. I another discussion it has been said that the venturi's we use pulls a vacuum and are causes a falsely high reading on a regular airflow meter. Do you have to correct the meter for amount of vacuum that is created by the pump venturi.

Um die korrekte Luftleistung eines Dispergatormotors mit Nadelrad zu ermitteln, muss zuerst der Unterdruck den die Pumpe erzeugt, gemessen werden. Dazu ist ein spezielles Unterdruckmanometer, erforderlich. Mit diesen ermittelten Werten wird dann ein Luftmengenmesser gebaut. Die von uns verwendeten Luftmengenmesser sind also angepasst für die exakte Messung der Bubble-King Pumpen. Leider sind die Meßgeräte mit 300.- Euro viel zu teuer, um sie verkaufen zu können. Es sind Labormeßgeräte und keine Standartteile..Die Dwyer Luftmengenmesser hat Gary mir besorgt. Sie sind in keinem Fall geeignet, um die Luftmenge eines BK zu ermitteln, weil sie einen viel zu hohen Widerstand haben. Der Abschäumer läuft sofort über, bei Verwendung eines ungeeigneten Luftmengenmessers. Wir haben vor kurzen eine Sondernafertigung von Luftmengenmessern erhalten, die sehr vielversprechend sind. Wir planen in Zukunft, serienmäßig Luftmengenmesser an den BK-Abschäumern, anzubringen, sobald wir diese haben. Die bisher verkauften Abschäumer sind ohne Aufwand, nachrüstbar.

to get exact air intake numbers we first have to figure out the vacume of a running RD, we use a special vacume meter, then a custome air meter will be build, which is customized to meassure Bubble King Red Dragon's air intake, the bad part is, those meter cost 300 euros, therefor to expensive to sell em, those are lab grade air meter and not air meter of the shelf, the dwyer air meter was send to me by gary and are no good to meassure the air intake on RD's, because Dwyer air meter do restrict air intake to much, and will couse the BK to overflow, we recently got custom air meters which looks promising we plan on putting those custom air meter standart on all BK in the future also BK owners are able to upgrade their BK's, without problems,
