Hi Jonah, I'm currently using a AP1004, but I believe Moodpod uses this skimmer. Maybe Chuck can relate his experiences here, or maybe PM him Bob

        Jonah,

What kind of feedback are you looking for? When I shop for skimmers, I normally look for:
        - Performance
        - Reliability
        - Construction quality
        - Customer service (before and after sale)
        - Price
        - Value

I know that you have a thread in the Deltec forum in RC and it seems most of the above points have already been discussed. Are you looking for some other feedback?

Hi Jonah, no question the 702 will be a good choice, though Doug will try to talk you down a model or two. Jonah, PM scottw, as he has the pix's of my AP1004. Bob

Love my Deltec Ap1003, not up to Bob's beast, but I do have a drain on mine so that I can drain the entire skimmer come cleaning time.......

The AP1003 is just an AP1004 minus one of the recirc pumps. The fittings are still on the main skimmer body, but Deltec sends caps for them. I just asked that they also included one of the unions with a ball valve attached and a barbed fitting so that I can use it as a drain.

If I ever upgrade to an AP1004, I will loose my drain though.

Im using the AP902 for a few months now and it just works wonderfully. No overflows and I get alot of wet skimmate every day even tho I feed sparingly now.

The skimmer is oversized for my little puddle of water and thus the skimmer will not be able to pull out any skimmate during the night when the animals are resting and not pooping/peeing. Usually the skimmate production just stop at about 3am or so..

This is also why I dunt think there is such a thing as overskimming. Cos as soon as the water is clean, the skimmer just stops producing skimmate since there are no more organics to pull out.

2 thumbs up for Deltec Skimmers..
