Euro-Reef Skimmers....opinions?

Hi All,

Going to be needing to upgrade the protein skimmer on our tank. Tank is going to be a 150 gallon tank with a 75 gallon sump. Total water volume is estimated at 180 gallons of water after taking away for the rock. I was looking at getting the Euroreef CS12-1 which is rated to 300 gallons. I currently am using a CS8-1 on 120 gallons of water and have been really happy. With our current budget really sure that Deltec or Bubble King are options at this time.

Are people happy using Euro-reef skimmers with ZEOvit? Currently a nonZeo user but will be switching with the tank upgrade.

Any suggestions/opinions about Euroreef skimmers? We want this tank set up right and be happy with it for a long period of time....will the Euro-reef do this? Tank will be SPS dominated.

Also side note will a CS12-1 (18"x18" footprint) fit in a 75 gallon tank....tank is 18" wide but was not sure if the 18 x18 footprint was true dimensions or approximations.

MRC makes excellent skimmers and there not that expensive

EuroReef makes very good skimmers. I think their newest line of skimmers are even better than before.

I'm using a CS8-1 on my 100gal, and I've been very pleased. I was originally going to buy a Schuran Jetskim 150 but was steered to the ER as being a better performer.

ERs are fine. If their new "beta" pumps pan out they'll be even better.

i heard that there gettin better then they used to be but again i hear wonderful things about the MRC also
