I contacted someone here in the US that has an aquacare reactor. He actually sent a cheque to them. and received his reactor shortly thereafter. I guess it worked out very well for him.

I has considering them when I was in the reactor market. They seem to be of good quality. This DIY looks very good. I might just consider making one for fun. Give me a good reason to set up a frag tank.

Thanks for the pics and link. Very cool.

For those interested, here's aquacare's page on these reactors:

Where would one even find those parts?

Do you think its possible to have an acrylic builder build something of that magnitude?

                      cool

                      Hello people

Nice to see that you haved copied "my" reaktor.
I made this becouse i want to see how mutch it would cost in parts and see what one cost in the petstore. 1/3 of the price here in Sweden.
All part did i get from the lokal water store and its made by GF+ PVC parts and some transparent PVC pipes.

The Ca ractor works that Co2 came in to the right tube (1) in the bottom and bubbel up in that chamber and the pumps run in the water in next chamber (2) here is the material from AquaCare its small round special granulat when the Co2 is in the water the ph will sink and the granulat will rise the Ca after chamber 2 it goes to chamber 1 again. Betwen the chamber 1 and 2 its a chamber 3. Here into its a airstone that blows in the (3) and rise the water again to 7.8ph after (3) it goes up to chamber 4 and ventilate out the outer Co2 in the air and the water with Ca is out from a hole in the right side of the tube.

In the tube 1 its 2 connections hoses in the middle that the Co2 bulb will sitt. I havend done this at now but know how it works and its realy simple

Hope you understand what i haved write, my english isnt so good

                      Regards from Sweden
                      /C

Wrang, that is amazing! Did Aquacare copy this design from you? or did you get the idea from Aquacare? Very impressive!
