  • Zeoliths exposed during off cycle

    Hi All,

Noticed something today. When my ZEOvit reactor starts it's 3 hour off cycle, some of the water drains from the reactor through the plumbing connected to the water feed pump, which causes approximately 1/3rd to 1/2 of the zeoliths to become exposed rather than being submerged. FYI, I use the I-Aquatic ZEOvit reactor. Is this problematic or normal? Would a check valve help or is it not necessary?

    TIA,

    Alex

Hi, you will need to keep the stones submerged during the off cycle. A check valve will be good.

ALex, I would run it 24/7 until you can get a realiable check valve. I run mine 24/7 now as a lot of people are in the later stages.

I run mine 24/7 as well now. Everything is doing well. Ran Zeo from Oct 2004 to Aug 2005 then took a couple months off and now back in the game again

            Diesel, Welcome back to ZEOvit

I started running my reactor 24/7 now as well esp. since my tank was low on nutrients to start with.

Thanks for all your advice everyone.
