Which is the better(the question about zeovit reator)

Hi~ all~~

There are two types in zeovit reactor..I think..

1. there is no cap in reactor. so the water overflows the reactor..
2. there is a cap in reactor and connect PVC out let pipe in upper side of
reactor so the water flows the outlet pipe...

which is the better?
At first I use reactor #2. but it makes a little bubble so it can put the main
tank directly..so I changed version #1... I thinks #1 is more than #2...

Is there any con of #1?
