Bob, there is a button over the text field when you reply or create a message. Just press the button “Insert Hyperlink” and insert the link in the window which will pop up.

Scott; you're correct wned: My first run thru Ramon's pictures I thought the "U" tube was connected to the side filter-tube resulting in flow both up & down, washing the stones from both directions. Actually, Scott, this was a test to see who was paying attention, & surprisely, you were the only one Thnx. Bob

Just in case you havent found out the reason of this modification, i will explain it.

In case you have a big tank and there for, a lot of Zeovit in your reactor, when the on/off pump sequnece is on OFF the Zeovit stones will be exposed to air if your sump level is lower than the top of the stones.

Well to prevent this, Ramon Tech has developed this practical modification of his Gro Tech reactor. Still with the "U" tube the water remain flushing out. He solved the problem conecting as you can see in the picture, both tubes with a thin airpump type tube.

              Hope you understand .

As Brian tells the modifications of Ramon reactor are only for 2 things:

                          1) U Pipe, for install a valve to control the flush and elevate the pump a little bit for have less noice and vibrations.
                          2) Small tube, betwen outside and imput, just for make that comes an air buble on the input (if is stopped) for have the reactor full of water always

                          Saludos
                          Josep
