Mag pump replacement screws

I rem seeing some threads on RC about people changing out the mag SS screws for plastic or some other non corrosive screw. If you have a source or have any info on where to find them please let me know. Noticed some rust on 2 screws and want to get them all replaced.

I've seen where people have gone to HD or Lowes or ordered on line, but I want to know what size screws they are using for whichever model of pump they have.

Here's a link for nylon screws but I'd be concerned with breakage and time spent getting that out.

I've had at least 7 mags running before and never seen any rust that concerned me.

Steve, you happen to know which screw it takes? I do not think there would be any load really on the screws so not to concerned about breakage... I have read some stories of RTN and tissue tip thinning from the mag screws rusting. I do not want to find it out the hard way. I will be getting a new external pump soon but would like to change out the screws anyways.

size I think is 8-32 which they show as 832. You just need to determine the length

Ok does anyone have the exact specs on the screws needed? My mech left the damn screw I gave him at home and I want to get these ordered.. For a mag 18...

my friends tank is the one tht got screwed up I need them also for my 18 and aso 24 but cant find anyone that knows which one

I think what I am going to do is pull a screw from my pump, take it to HD or something and compare it to the hardware they have there. I'll report back with the size - will probably do it over the weekend.

Never had time to get to the store and check on the screw today.. I have a multi color slate tile floor going in at my house so ended up spending most of the day at home. Going to look sweet though..
