Very nice, Where did you get it? Keep us posted on performance. I'm going to be needing a couple pumps for a CL. This looks pretty interesting.

            Hi there,

            nice pump indeed.
Well, I'm planning to buy one but tunze says it can't run underwater in seawater. Does anybody knows why?

Look at the first pix--that "grate" is an aluminum cooling thing. You can't submerge that in saltwater.

                  Hi,

I had an answer from tunze. They said the 1073.090 (the smalest; 8000l/h) hasn't got the aluminium "grate" and can be used under seawater.

OK first impressions, The largest master recirc does indeed push harder than a RD12 (as advertised). I'm gonna let it run for a little while before I get amp draw numbers. It is not silent, there's a small "whir" to the thing--not loud or annoying at all, but the thing is not silent--almost like it's got a small fan, but as far as I can tell it doesn't. It's got a more "regular" height to the intake vs the RD which is a bit higher than the rest. It's also a bit longer than an RD, but still respectiably small.

How would you compair it to a Seg. Dart. Do the usual online vendors have these (MD,PA and so on)?

OK, it's go the same killawatt draw as a Dart. Noise wise is comparable to a Dart. It outflows a RD12, which outflows a Dart easily. However it is NOT as quiet as a RD. There's a definite "whir" to the thing.

Interesting numbers on the killawatt--203w, but 2.7amps. Weird.

Anyways, I'm gonna run it for awhile, clean my RD nicely and stick the RD back in. While the master recirc isn't really loud, you get used to the RD level of you only hear the water moving noise...

OK, I couldn't take the "whir" any more. Back to blessed silence, albeit at 2x the cost and a bit lower flow.

I think the master recirc is gonna be a good product for Tunze. I think that if RDs didn't exist I'd probably use 'em. But since RDs do exist, if you've got the budget, you really get used to the "I only hear the water moving".....

How much is it for the RD and the Tunze? I know it cost an arm and a leg but i want to know the exact number.
                              I'm a quiter..... But i'm back now....
