  • Any plumbing tips?

Hey guys well i got my ball vales and i need to throw some male adapters in them, since they are thread.

so i put some teflon tape on it, probably about 3-4 layers or turn i guess you could say.

then i hand tightend it as far as i could go and then pulled out the wrench and got it as tight as i could.

should i throw a bead of slicone around it? just 100% silcone right? nothing special?

just want to make sure there are no leaks from these male threaded parts.

    so anyother tips out there?

anything else i should do or change?

    thanks

    Nick

The larger diameter the pipe, the more wraps of teflon tape you should use. Also wrap the tape in the direction the fitting gets turned. Keeps it tight while threading in. IMO silicone isn't neede.
